Medallion Movie starring Nicolas Cage - Stolen Movie

Update - The movie has been retitled Stolen.


Simon West (who previously helmed Lara Croft Tomb Raider, The Mechanic), is set to direct Medallion, an upcoming action movie based on a script by David Guggenheim (who wrote the script of Safe House). Actor Nicolas Cage got the lead role. The cast also includes Malin Akerman and Danny Huston. The film will likely be released sometime in 2012.

Plot:
"A former thief frantically searches for his missing daughter, who has been kidnapped and locked in the trunk of a New York taxi."

Whatever Nicolas Cage does is a must see for me, am his fan! Judging from the premise above, I guess we may expect a story and a pace somehow similar to Luc Besson's Taken. I really wonder what will Nicolas Cage's hair will look like this time around! Do you think it's going to be a basic cut or some new fantasy cut?

Are you wondering why the movie is titled Medallion: well in New York City a metallic symbol, the so-called medallion, is attached to the hood of taxicabs. The medallion is a license from the City that authorizes the operation of a taxicab within the City of New York. Only drivers with a medallion on their vehicle may pick up people on the street anywhere in the city.
